The JK Art Foundation values to the preservation of the cultural heritage. In collaboration with art historian and Van Dongen expert,  the foundation decided to select four works to be restored prior to the  exhibition 'Kees van Dongen, The Road to Success'. The restoration work was carried out by Redivivus, led by Gwendolyn Boevé-Jones. This ensures that the works of art are in optimal condition before they will be admired by the public.

Four Van Dongens to Singer Laren


The JK Art Foundation has lent four works by Kees van Dongen to the Singer Museum in Laren for the exhibition ‘Kees van Dongen: The Road to Success’. Van Dongen (1877–1968) was an extremely talented and ambitious artist. He is ranked among the great artists of the twentieth century, such as Matisse, Braque and Picasso. The exhibition gives a complete picture of his knowledge and skills. Step by step, visitors are led along Van Dongen’s path to fame and success to gain a better understanding of this much-loved artist.
